Our Story

Our businesses are family owned and operated. Stout's Carpet was established in 1976 by James and Ruby Stout. James worked in a factory and decided to start a "side carpet gig" out of his carport in order to better provide for his family. The "side carpet gig" took off, so in order to keep his customers satisfied he made the decision to make it a full time business. Upon retirement he sold the business to his son and daughter in law, Brian and Tracy Stout, who is the owner today. In 2024, Brian bought Pontotoc Carpet Sales, which was also a family owned and run business since ‘79.

In 2024, Brian Stout purchased Pontotoc Flooring from the original owners of Pontotoc Carpet Sales, which was established in 1979. Pontotoc Flooring has served the people of Pontotoc for decades, with exceptional service, stellar customer relations, and outstanding work in every job they do.
